Very upset at how we have just been dealt with. I picked up my diabetic cat from here a day early, once I got my cat home I found out that she was soaked in cat urine. She has also lost over half a kilo in weight and may need to be admitted to the vets later today. The stories we have heard from the owner have changed repeatedly. On initial contact with the manager he said he knew she was covered in urine and was waiting for the heavy rain to stop to use grooming spray on her. Just now he claims she was wet from water she had knocked over. He left my elderly cat covered in her own urine for hours. Not only has the manager been extremely unhelpful one of the front of house staff was rude to my wife. On dropping my cat off, we were told that we needed to pay extra to have her insulin administered, the retort from the girl was “well you are paying for a 5star service”. Rude and indignant. We asked for a refund for the neglected state our cat returned in to be told that wasn’t an option. Overall I have found the whole service to be disgraceful and I would never ever recommend this place again.

We left our cats at the Aberdeen Pet Resort, Peterculter, for a week in April. When we got them home, less than a 5 minute drive, their travel carriers and blankets were covered in fur and urine. Our cats were absolutely stinking of urine too! I contacted the place immediately as I felt that they had been living in their travel carriers and using it as a litter tray too! Only to be told that they were not kept in their travel carriers and they had no idea why our cats smelt so bad! It must been the journey home, all 5 minutes of it!! DO NOT PUT YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE! This place should be closed immediately!!! Definitely not a genuine one star! I would give them nothing but closure!

The staff has always been friendly and helpful to me, the place appears clean and I see nothing of concern (reading the 1 star reviews). When I picked my cat up last time, my cat was hissing at me, but that's a reflection on him (he was rescued by the sspca and doesn't deal with new people or small spaces) and not the facility.

Long post but hit to chase I can not recommend highly enough fantastic place and happy cats and their servants. We have 3 very different cats aged between about 17, 12 & 6...all 3 as cats are very particular in their own routines but live well as a family group even happy to have feeding dishes nxt to each other in a row... Helps each activated by own microchip so no sneaky midnight feast on the others food. We first used Aberdeen Pet Resort to enable us to have a 3 night breakaway for first time in 15 years as main carers for parents. My daughter and son in law had well researched for their fur babies so with confidence we dropped them off delighted to find when picked up cats enjoyed their holiday as much as we did. We have since used them again for a short break after family member died and again cats come bouncing back... Goi g back again as return holiday speaks for itself and my daughter and son in law would go nowhere else... They were not going to go on Honeymoon unless they found a good quality, friendly place fir their fur babies as we had been unable due to circumstances to look after them as usual plus having young cats best to get them used to a cattery. There is no sign of stress from being away from home, no weight loss or sulky behaviour on return lol You get detailed handover on how they have been and I have complete confidence in fact they are well looked after. A huge bonus is they are kept as a group and yep allowed to have their "spats" as they do at home. Staff get to know them well, who is Boss, which one thinks it is human baby and likes cover to hide under and the one who prior to us adopting had been abused so has trust issues but loves a belly rub if approached the right way. Facilities immaculate, staff amazing a pity they do not kennel dogs although I think my son in law would sulk if he was not given dog while we were away. It is always a thought handing over your fur babies to someone else's care they are so much part of your family and especially if you have a golden oldie like us. I know if anything we're to happen to her (or any of them) staff would obtain vet input and follow and respect my decision that at her age she is not for treatment which gives huge peace of mind. As for my 3 moggies they are planning when they can get rid of human servants so they can go on holiday again. All I can say is huge TQ and see you soon.

Snow Dog

I am happy to take my cat here. He has an indoor area with a shelf and a small outdoor area. It is very clean. I especially like that there are no dogs here as that stresses the cats out. Nice reception with welcoming residential cats and parrot. He always seems content when I collect him.
