Great service from the staff at Carpetright - Bath. I was looking for laminate flooring for my hallway and living room and two of the gentleman (one still in training I believe) helped me narrow down a product suitable for me. Fitting was in the timeframe I was expecting and looks fabulous in my new home. Would recommend.

I recently purchased a carpet from Carpetright in Bath and also arranged the fitting through them. I have been communicating with Phoebe from my initial enquiries, all the way through to the end. We are all too quick to complain and if things are ok or good then we just move on. I have received such a good experience from Phoebe that I thought it only fair to communicate this back. Pheobe sold me the carpet that was right for me (no pun intended), listening to the requirements I had which went beyond just a carpet. I was concerned about noise pollution in the apartment below me and Phoebe reassured me and advised me on how best to approach this. There were some challenges with the supply of the carpet and I know Phoebe put as much effort as possible into ensuring this didn't impact the strict dates I had. Moving house was stressful, I had a lot to cover off, however, the carpeting was easy and that was down to Phoebe. Excellent communication throughout. Full marks!! I have to say, the carpet looks amazing and has made my new house look like a home. Plus, no complaints from the neighbours downstairs (yet!).

We've ordered twice from Carpetright online and both times they haven't contacted us about a delivery date, or even to confirm our order. Both times we've had to call them after a month of waiting to arrange the delivery ourselves. The first time, after two months of waiting, we had to pay the delivery guys ourselves, and have our delivery charge that had already been paid refunded because they couldn't pay the delivery team internally. The second time we learned that online orders don't even come to their attention untill the customer calls, asking where their carpet is. Anyone thinking of shopping at carpetright should be aware of these shortcomings, if you are going to order online make sure you call up and they know there's a customer waiting.

Due to the store not supplying the correct amount of underlay, I had to go to the store 3 times to get the right amount and ended up having to pay a carpet fitter twice as a result. The store manager was particularly unhelpful and told me it this was my fault for not physically rolling out the underlay in store and measuring it myself (has anyone ever seen anyone do this?). The store managers view is that as a customer you can't trust them to get it right. With that being the attitude of the person running the store don't expect to buy from them without any problems or expect them to be helpful in fixing any problems. Use them if you're willing to run around fixing their mistakes and be left carrying the bill of any extra cost. From this experience, I will be going elsewhere in future.

Warning, AVOID until new management. After reading the reviews below, our experience has been very similar to others. Incorrect pricing which caused suprise charges to be added, massive delays (months) of waiting. We were advised varying fitting dates which were cancelled, which we only found out of after we called to chase! Communication has been shockingly bad and the customer service (whilst friendly in store) has been appalling. After we started to complain, we were called by a manager from another store (Leah, Cheltenham store) who managed to correct some of their booking mistakes. Without her I have no idea what state we would be in. We are in the process of writing a formal complaint to the head office and advise anyone who thinks the reviews are not accurate, to take our warning seriously.
