This abbey is on the outskirts of a lovely quiet village of Turvey. In the abbey there is a congregation of Roman Catholic sisters. Prayers are said on the chapel together with the monks living in the neighbouring monastery of Christ our Saviour which used to be the stables of the Abbey in olden times. Prayer time is open to everyone. The Sisters are part of the Benedictine monastic community of Monte Uliveto in Italy. There is a small car park in the Abbey which can be used by the guests. In addition to the main chapel, there is also a chapel for adoration of the blessed sacrament.

Oh the peace and the joy this wonderful place brings. Its my home its my church its truly wonderful. Its a blessed place. Here you meet Jesus. I love this place its where I come for Sunday Mass and the calmness it brings to my little one. The Brothers and Sisters are so lovely. Such role models. This place is great. This is community.

Simple accommodation in single rooms in the monastery guest house. Dated but functional. Self catering kitchen, clean bathrooms (some accessible accommodation) and beautiful peaceful grounds. Rooms have good locks on them. Expect to strip/make up your bed ready for the next guest in kindly Christian tradition. Buses to / from Bedford go past the door. Good for contemplative retreats and digital detox. You won't be preached at.

Wonderful peaceful place. Guests can be accomodated at both the Nun's Abbey and the Monks Monastery. Services in the chapel are open to visitors. Small shop.

Never visited but drive past regularly. Lovely looking building appears well maintained. In a beautiful location on the edge of the village looking over open countryside.
