This is a very large WHSmith, so stocks more than some others. Has two floors. Downstairs has an entrance from the shopping mall, upstairs from the street. The upstairs has a small M&S food bit, for stuff like sandwiches, salads and drinks.

Usually good, had an employee that tried to over force the offers once, and it just became awkward and uncomfortable. Haven't had a problem since then, and usually has good stock. It's a large WHSmith with two floors. The upper floor containsainly books, and the lower floor contains stationary and a variety of education books and recreational videos and movies.

Still a good place for books and stationary. Self serve check out too close to manned tills. Never sure if there is a queue for the self serve or not, just take a chance when no one moves.

Look let's be honest, I shouldn't have expected much from the Bedford branch of an ailing ex-newspaper agent tat merchants. But this represents one of the weakest Smith's I've seen. The labrytnthine layout made my search for a pencil like the looking for a needle in a haystack, or should I say a pencil in a stack of overpriced kiddy aimed folders and clipboard notebooks. Sadly for the staff, I expect to hear of this company being one of the next high street failures, perhaps in no small part to their over diversification of stock and inability to stick to the core business (at reasonable prices). Avoid.

Way over priced. Forgot to buy cigarettes from my local shop on the way to work, so popped into wh smiths to buy them. What a mistake that was. Nearly £3 more expensive then anywhere else in Bedford. Absolutely ridiculous.
