Sholem Josephs
Hi, we booked to stay at this hotel just over 2 months ago, we booked 2 connecting rooms to check in 26th Dec for 2 nights. When we booked we explained that it was imperative we get a connecting room as we were arriving with two young children. We were assured this would be the case. On Sunday I drove with the family from London to Manchester (had spent the weekend in London) on the way up I called to confirm the booking and explained again how important it was that we get a connecting room and was again assured a connecting room was set aside for us. I set off from Manchester to Blackpool and arrived exhausted and ready for a good nights sleep at 9.00pm, I checked in on the computer in the lobby and went to the room, as I opened the connecting room from my room, I got the shock of my life as I heard a male voice call out "who is that???!!!" I quickly closed the door and went downstairs to the lobby to ask what was going on, I was then informed that there were no connecting rooms available and the best that could be done was 2 rooms next to one another. Not wanting to have a ruined holiday I accepted that, we then went upstairs to the 2 rooms, they were both freezing! dark and gloomy, at this stage the kids are crying. After trying to calm everyone down and warm up the rooms, we decided that this was not anyone's idea of a holiday, I then went downstairs again and informed the staff member that we would not be staying. I was offered a refund and told that a manager would call me tomorrow (Monday). We then had a 45 mile return journey home. On Monday I called and asked to speak to a manager, was told that it was very busy, but a manager would call me back. It is now over a week later still no phone call! No explanation! No apology! No offer to compensate our disaster!
